You will need a few things to get started as a local courier. Don’t panic if you don’t have something on this list, get in touch with our friendly fleet team here and they will be happy to help.

Essential requirement:
 
  • A valid UK driver’s licence
  • An Android phone (version 6.0 or higher)
  • Minimum age 25 years old
  • A car that is no older than 10 years old and is in a tidy condition

Your checklist

When you visit your local service centre, as well as yourself you’ll need to bring along the following:
 
  • Current UK driving licence (held for minimum of 2 years)
  • Passport or birth certificate
  • Visa if required
  • 2 x proofs of address dated less than 2 months old
  • National Insurance (card or a printed document)
  • Your bank details
  • MOT certificate
  • V5 document (your vehicle should be less than 8 years old and in good condition)
  • Insurance (social, domestic and pleasure)

  • Are there any age restrictions? We require you to be 25 years or older.
  • Can I work only when I want to? Yes, as a self-employed courier you work to a schedule that suits you.
  • How are payments made? Payments are made weekly by BACS each Friday.
  • Is evening or weekend work available? Yes, we operate 24/7, 365 days a year. Most work though is available Monday to Friday, 7am to 7pm.
  • What type of car do I need to work with you? Your vehicle needs to be in good condition and ideally no more than 8 years old. A hatchback would be most useful but not essential.
  • What type of driving licence do I need? You will need a UK driving licence which has been held for 2 years. A maximum of 6 penalty points is acceptable.
  • What type of phone do I need? You need to have an Android phone, version 6.0 or above.
  • Will I work within my local area? The maximum distance you would travel on any one job would be 75miles. Most work is in and around your area.
