Climate change and pollution are some of most formidable global challenges of our time. As a primary emitter of greenhouse gasses (GHG), the transport and logistics industry has a key responsibility to help tackle this issue.


We take this challenge very seriously and are proud to say we are playing our part to offer a green courier service to reduce our ecological footprint, improve our service to customers and improve air quality for our couriers on the road in busy urban areas.

We are working with TfL and local communities to understand how hubs like cargo bike parking can promote zero emission transport. Furthermore, we are working with businesses to cluster deliveries to reduce time on the road, dead mileage and ultimately the GHG emitted. Our vision is to offer you the best green delivery service - the right vehicle for the right package, at the right time, resulting in the lowest environmental impact.

 

Our green vehicles

Our zero-emission fleet includes pushbikes, cargo bikes, and electric and hydrogen vans.

Pushbike

The original zero emission vehicle! We have the largest pushbike courier fleet in London; each bike saves 2.5 tonnes of GHG emissions per year.

Cargo bike

These electrically assisted vehicles can carry the load of a small van and dart through traffic using cycle lanes, saving 4 tonnes of GHG emissions each year.

Electric van

We continue to expand our electric vehicle fleet, reducing the GHG and noise impact on urban delivery. These vehicles can travel up to 120 miles per day on a full charge, saving 8 tonnes of GHG emissions per year.

Hydrogen van

This emerging vehicle type is being trialled in London, can travel distances of 200+ miles per day and only emits water! Our hydrogen van for logistics is also the first for the UK!

Green hub:

We are excited to launch our first green hub! Based out of London South Service Centre, our SE1 site will be the central point to charge our electric vans based throughout the city and also where our growing cargo bike fleet will be housed.

FTC2050:

CitySprint is collaborating with the FTC2050 project team to understand the holistic impacts of urban freight transport. The learnings will help the industry develop innovative solutions to solve challenges such as congestion and pollution.
